More fun in my Yellow Blaze (*censored* day pics and vid)
I've rolled enough miles to take the mustang out and beat on it a bit, and a friend invited me to a last minute test and tune day at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in the middle of nowhere, California. After a phenomenal (lol) stay in Blythe , got up and got to the track.
Its a big track with a nice layout for larger cars and sedans with lots of high speed turns and a slow section that will chew up people not giving it their full attention and preparation. They were wrapping up some race licensing program and driving education program with Ford Racing, and Miller had brought out their fleet of Ford Racing Trainer Mustangs. I ended up in a session with them and was shocked to see I could chase down the mustangs in my car which was basically stock + a set of crappy springs from Roush (low rate, just something to get the car lowered while I educated myself on the S197's). Anyways, the session and day was a blast, and here's some pics/vid:

Pics from the day:
This dude was nuts: Dealer plate, no tapeup, and he was all over the place
Its not at all scenic there, either:

Fantastic pics! Too bad you didn't have a little nicer weather for it...
I'm waiting for the video to cue up... (edit Nice video! I haven't tried using 2 GoPro's yet. I usually mount my one in the middle somewhere, either on the roof or inside the windshield (which works well).
May I ask what tires and brake pads you used, and how did they hold up?
I'm sure I'll take mine out on my favorite track, Mid Ohio, at least once. Like you, I'll be taking it easy there as well!
