I received a letter today from Ford
In 2011 , there were 21,299 Mustang GT's made, 292 were Yellow Blaze.
In 2012, there were 17,487 Mustang GT's made so far, 503 were Yellow Blaze.
The color will not be available in 2013.

I was considering the Boss, my choise was YB. It's an excellent mix with the black accents and wheels.

[QUOTE=11SHELBYGT500;6166014]Can I remind you guys that rare in this case means nobody wanted it?[/QUOT
Well, for 2011, it wash't even in the color guide for the Mustang. Ford decided to make some and ship them out. It's a 12 color ..and i for one love the color.

But it is rare....i have only seen 3 like it in 7 months. And I wanted one after I saw one of those. It had nothing to do with being a rare color. To me, that is a bonus .

I've never seen a Yellow Blaze on the road ... when they first came out a saw a YB V6 in a local dealers lot that I stopped to look at... I have seen more Sunset Golds (1 V6 and another GT locally) than Yellow Blazes. Ford made 415 Sunset Gold GT's.

I loved the old Chrome Yellow and the later Screaming Yellow, but really didn't like the Sunset Gold or the more egg yolk yellow Ford made for a few years. Yellow Blaze is pretty great too, but the lady did not like yellow at all so I went with Race Red - she let me get the Stang I wanted so I figured compromising on color wasn't so bad

See now that looks good to me and it is rare also. People get stuck on a color and that is the only color they will buy. Like myself with the LL lots of people hate the color but for some its the only color they will buy. Maybe down the road it will be worth a few bucks more because of its rarity.
