Where is my Mustang?

Where is my Mustang?
Ordered my new GT Premium with PP in March. Dealer called a few weeks ago and said it would be delivered around May 14th (that's also what COTUS had as delivery date). Date then changed to June 4 and changed again to June 15th? Dealer has no answer. According to Cotus it was built April 25! Anyone have any insight on what may be going on? Does it really take two months to deliver once built?

Surprised me too how long it takes for a Mustang special order.
When I ordered my Canadian-built '07 Charger back in 2007, it arrived at the dealership in 3.5 weeks.
The Mustang took almost 8 weeks and it arrived with a broken passenger side mirror.
Like, broken right off and sitting in the rear seat.

Not that I remember exactly but I placed my order on 2/14/12. The car was built 9/27-28 and delivered to me on 10/11/12.

Maybe it took a wrong turn on the assembly line and now they're waiting for the ship to return from Europe. .
Really it must depend on what they decide to build on the assembly line first by order size I would guess. I notice plenty of non-GT's come to the lots in Winnipeg a few weeks ago and now I'm noticing the odd GT showing up. They'll sell a lot more V6 or eco-boost than GT's where I live.

There's another member on here waiting for his '17 Mustang, delivery-to-dealer date just got pushed back into mid-June ... his is a GT350, but it seems that there's something going on with Mustang deliveries these days, doesn't seem like it's just your car.

Thanks for all the replies. I assumed the delivery delays of the past had been corrected for some reason. From what you all have posted, that was the wrong assumption on my part. I live in the Adirondacks of New York and was hoping to enjoy the car during our short summers. Praying it comes soon and no further delays.
