Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 15' GT 5.0 Premium

So.. Saturday I got the itch to test drive the new 15' Mustang GT 5.0. I must say I am very impressed to say the least. The interior is definitely an upgrade although a little shorter and really not noticeable. I think Ford has taken the Mustang into the next era beautifully. I will personally say that at first I didnt have warm and fuzzy feeling concerning the body style, but after the test drive I am came to grips with it. The ride was amazing! Depending on what they give me on trade and don't raped to badly, I will place my order for one. The hardest part will be picking out a color. Im thinking deep impact blue or competition orange. Anyone recently trade a 14' GT 5.0 Premium? I'd like to hear your trade in experience...

why don't you sell the 14s out to private party, this would get you the best $ and then go to the dealer for the new ones. trade in are usually bad deal, but i know everyone prefers this. go to kbb.com and get ur 14s priced, so you will have a number to go with.

Got the 2015 GT premium deep impact blue with 401a and performance pack. Love it. Traded in a 2014 GT premium with brembo pack and got $28,000 trade in. So was as good as I could get considering a 2014 used retail is going for $30,000. But dealer is a friend so hopefully he did me right.

Yeah... They were only giving me 29K for my trade so wasnt going to be enough for me to do the deal. Looks like at this point I will be sticking with my 14' GT 5.0. Im just gonna make the necessary upgrades as originally decided. Next mod: Kooks or ARH LT headers and high flow H pipe. Then gonna change out the cams. My over all quest is to reach 500RWHP N/A.

On a 14 you are better off trading than selling anyhow. Sure you could probably get more from a private party but its a hassle selling a car with a lien. Also the tax savings makes it worth it. Say they did give you $29k and the new GT is $35k. You only pay taxes on the difference between the two so its $6k vs the entire $35. Unless you live in one of the crazy states that don't charge sales tax.

No one ever thinks about that. It is a big mistake. Hey wait till next year. I have never been a fan of the first year of a new car.
