Steering Wheel

The steering wheel that came with my 2016 GT is rather skinny and not shaped as one might expect for a car like this. Seems more like something you would find in a Honda.

I purchased a GT350 steering wheel. It is better and uses alcantera for the top part; but is still too skinny around the top, thumb grips should be more pronounced and it is too rounded (should be flatter) on the bottom. Does anyone know of other options? I would like to keep the steering wheel controls (some are useful).

Thanks

You must have big manly hands. I envy you.

On a serious note, I bought gt500 steering wheels for the similar reasons, also part alcantara. Yea, still too skinny even for my t-rex hands. And I want the flat bottom, too.

I googled it, came across these:

Thanks for the prompt and quite useful reply. My hands are not particularly large but my fingers do overwrap the upper portion of the GT350 wheel. I am used to, and much prefer, much thicker steering wheels as in my BMW M3 and VW R32

The wheel from carbon dynamics looks a lot better (although rather pricey). The gloss finish on the exposed carbon fiber would create glare. I will contact them and see what they can do.
