Roush Exhaust + Ford Racing xpipe = to loud??
Roush Exhaust + Ford Racing xpipe = to loud??
I like a good deep and loud growl like anyone, and I am getting the roush axle back exhaust, and I am thinking about getting the ford racing x-pipe from american muscle too. Do you think (in your opinion) it was be to loud? As is from good exhaust tone to obnoxious?

You might be surprised at how loud the Roush ABs are in person. Personally I would start with just the ABs first, then if you don't find it loud enough for your taste go with the X pipe. I love the sound of just the Roush Axle backs on my car.
I have the Roush AB with Ford Racing resonator delete xpipe. Here is a shirt 15 second video of me revving it up.
The exhaust is loud with the xpipe. Really loud. Cruising on the highway, it sounds great, no drone, etc. I really like it. Sounds a lot like the new GT350 with the active exhaust system is fully opened.

I will tell you,......as a Roush Stage 3 owner, the Roush exhaust is probably the best sounding and loudest I've heard on a Mustang. (I'm not just saying this because I have Roush. It's all personal preference as well.)
I've heard 2 Mustangs today on the road,...meehhhhh. They sounded "okay". The Roush exhaust is stupid loud, especially when gurgling and spitting between rowing the gears. I assume with the X pipe, you will be EXTREMELY loud. Good luck.

Hey texasgtguy,
Did you ever get the x-pipe, it's been over a year since you were asking about it.
I'm in the same situation now with the Roush axle back and don't know whether to add the x-pipe.
From what I'm gathering it's too loud with the x-pipe, or not loud enough without it..

I have the Kook's 1-3/4" Long Tube headers with the Kook's GREEN Catted H-Pipe into the stock Resonators and into the Roush Axle Backs. Lord O Mighty, It is AWESOME! It can be to loud if your not carful but it's easy to run around town and not sound obnoxious, but when I step on it, THUNDER!

I have a 2013 GT Premium with, Kook's 1-3/4" LTH to Green Catted H-Pipe to stock resonators to Roush axle backs. It's fine just cruising around but, step on the loud pedal and the Thunderous sound is a wonderful thing, Just don't do it with a cop nearby.
