Reuters: Sneak Peek week of 10/21, unveil in December
Already have a 13... I am not the only person on this forum thinking all the cloak and dagger is for a reason.. again we shall see. Does not matter to me personally either way other than I want to see the continued success of the Mustang.
This.
And this.
God almighty. I cannot believe people are still believing these are fake/leaked body panels and we're going to see a different design. Why do you think they didn't show anything to the dealers? Obviously because they already have leaks - what did these dealers do after they signed confidentiality forms? Go to the press and tell them what *wasn't* at the meeting. If they showed the real car (and truck), the dealers all would've confirmed the photos that we've all already seen. Ford isn't going to take that chance. They'd rather let people believe what they want until they show the car in its final production form and blow everyone's expectations away.

And they did that so as not to ruin the surprise and "blow everyone's expectations away" with something that everyone has already seen?
That doesn't make a lick of sense!
While it makes no difference to me personally because I will be keeping my 2011, however I must admit. Hearing this news about Ford releasing the photos and specs come this December does have me quite excited. I am really looking forward to seeing the actual production vehicle in all its glory or lack their of. I'm a bit pumped to finnaly see what all the spy photos and rumors been circulating come to an end.
If Ford release images in December, I do wonder if those still wearing tin foil hats will say "no, the official Ford photos are just another ruse to throw everyone off the scent of what will REALLY be launched on April 17th 2014"

More than likely it won't be introduced until April at the 2014 New York Auto Show.. As the production model won't be arriving in dealership's until July..
Also it's my understanding there will be a 2014.5 Mustang as the 2014 production run will not end until April.. The 2014.5 will be designated as the 50th anniversary edition until the upcoming S550 arrives in July !

How disappointed would you be if you bought a special 2014.5 50th anniversary car and then a couple months later the actual 2015 new car comes out?

I disagree, I think what they reported was that the first 1000 S550's would be called 2014.5s. I did not read that to mean that there will be a different 2014.5 car or even just a carryover special that will be the 2014.5.

If all this is true ? of course I'll be disappointed.. However I'm just going by the info in which I obtained
What I posted was info I received from my local Ford dealership's rep and that due to production of the upcoming S550 being delayed until at least July now.. The current 2014 production run has been extended and will not be ending until this upcoming March/April.. So as a direct result that is the reasoning behind the current 2014 being carried over and supposedly will be designated as a special limited edition 2014.5.. If all this is true ? of course I'll be disappointed.. However I'm just going by the info in which I obtained
