Pics of "15 Mustang @ Philly Auto Show
Hey everyone, today was Ford's Press day, and they invited salespeople down to the show to watch the press conference, and to see both the new F150 and Mustang, and to walk the show to see other makes . The show doesn't open until tomorrow for the public (tonight is the Black Tie Tailgate Gala), so I got a sneak peek of what is at the show. For any Southeast PA/NJ/Delaware forum members, the show will be worth going to!! A vast selection of exotics to see (the Aventador Roadster in Blu Nethuns is just ), but the Mustang is what we wanted to see in our region and we got one.
The car we got is a 2.3L Ecoboost 4-cylinder car with the 19" wheels (I love these wheels), in the new color Guard (in person, the color is striking). For anyone who hasn't seen the car yet and is still on the fence, I have four words...SEE IT IN PERSON!!! The car, in person, is amazing!! Its really really beautiful, the lines, the design, the taillights. Its awesome, and no picture will do it justice at 1st.
I just wanted to send a few pics on here (please excuse the quality. Camera phone and the lighting in the Philly Convention Center is not the best unless you have a good quality digi camera/SLR). I just wanted to post a few to show you all what is at the next Auto Show on the list. Thanks for checking out the pics everyone!!

Glad to do it buddy. I gotta say, if I were to buy a new Mustang, I think this color would be my 1st choice, and I am a 1000% Blue car guy. Its different. Its not gray, as you can see the green in the paint, and it looks really really good. The color contrast with the interior is awesome as well!!! A sharp combo!!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Jeff. I have to agree, Guard is stunning and is a very close second to DIB as my favourite colour.
Just one small thing, I believe those wheels are the option 20", not 19s. Take a look at this photo, you can just make out the ZR20
(I know this isn't the same car, it's the Magnetic 5.0 'vert, but I believe these wheels only come in 20")

Hey Tony. What did I like and dislike? Let me think:
Like:
-Pictures do the car ZERO justice!! The fastback profile is so good in person
-The tailights looks awesome! I know some don't like the angle, but its neat
-Stance is very aggressive and it looks mean. The slde splitters are a nice add
-Being that there were Aston Martins right behind the Ford display (Kerbeck's display), the profile does look very Aston-y!!!
The car overall is just well thought out.
Dislikes:
-That painted rear difuser under the backup lights between the mufflers. PLEASE just leave it black. On this car is looks okay as its a darker color, but on the yellow and red cars, its just too tacky IMHO.
-Colors. I wish they had more than they do and some of the ones they do have, I wish they changed them. Competition Orange was a special color for the Boss 302. It should stay that way. They should have used Molten Orange
triCoat (from the Fiesta ST and 2010-11 Raptor). That would look insane. And I want more than 1 color Blue.
-As it was roped off and we were NOT allowed to cross the line, I couldn't get a good enough view of the interior. So I'll wait till I see the interior up close to see it better.
All in all. I was IMPRESSED!! I like it ALOT!!

Have you ever seen an 1999 Mustang in Dark Satin Green Metallic Code FU? If so, how does it compare? My car always looked more black/gray and had a DEEP green (more so than the Highland green in the Bullitt DHG)
Please compare as Dark Satin Green is my ALL TIME favorite Mustang color (second only to Comp Orange!)
Thanks!

From your pics it looks much lighter in both the black and green portions of the color than FU. FU looked totally black at night and only looked color changing in the light as the body lines went dark, then green etc.
