Painted rear end?
i like the black one better imo. that painted one have to much solid color going in the rear. my first mod if i got a 2015+ would be tail light and reverse light (i guess thats what that is down there) tint though.

If that's the same car from the LA reveal, it's a base GT with the performance pack and no tech pack. (note no sharkfin antenna above 3rd brake light). Maybe non-premium cars have body colored diffusers? There are pre-production cars though, so everything should be taken with a grain of salt.
Personally I think that whole black aerodynamic splitter and venturi/ground effects schtick is just getting a bit played out and really detracts from the car's excellent underlying styling. It looks more like awkwardly tacked-on afterthoughts that, at best, only vaguely integrate with the overall styling and at worst, conflicts with it.
The splitter in the front is especially bad in this regard, looking like someone simply crudly traced and cut out the rough shape of the Stang's front valence from black-painted particle board and then pop-riveted it to the bottom.
The side splitters are the least intrusive but again look more like afterthoughts than something truly integral to the design. If marketing says you got to have them though, howabout something a little less tired than black, like maybe a brushed metal/aluminum look for at least something fresh.
The back end too, again, ends up unnecessarily fussy and lumpy from this stylistic cliche and would have been far better with a far cleaner execution -- just too much going on.
Not to way these "aerodynamic" add-ons ruins the 2015 -- hardly as it's at its core a great design -- and at least they're a far more adroitly done than lumpy, full-black-diapers of the 2011-2014 models. I would have thought that given the grief Ford had gotten over those that they would have had the sense to steer totally clear of this stylistic crutch and go for a cleaner, more timeless/classic look. One can always go to full-clown-show mode with the aftermarket if one wants the visuals of a circus parade, but it's harder to undue things already done.
Perhaps they'll have a "Bullitt" model to offer up in the near future for those who like an even more understated and classy look -- think Frank Bullitt (Stever McQueen) in a black turtle neck and sport coat.

Agreed, I think these initial show cars are a conglomeration of various packages and parts. To highlight what's available. I mean are they really going to force everyone to have that stupid 1964 plaque on the dash, or is that just some "heritage" pack?
