I think you simply need to turn your lights on manually

Lights do not have to be on. However, mine are set to automatic. My Color is controlled from the center screen. I just changed mine to Red. You can also adjust the intensity and dim them.

In the daylight it doesn't allow you to change it is what he is saying. To "trick it" you simply turn the lights on (though I base this completely on another thread where someone else had the same issue. I changed mine in a parking garage during the day).

I think the light sensor is right in the center of the upper dash right infront of the windshield. My buddy covered his with black electrical tape

For 2005-2009s... lights have to be on to adjust/view the ambient "my color" lighting. Without the headlights being on, your gauge(s) will always be white

I did change mine parked in my garage, which may account for my not seeing the lights come on, since they are on auto, I was busy looking at the screen.

I just went through the E-Manual and cannot find any reference to My Color. I will check my paper one later.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the dash display defaults to white back lighting during the day. My 2011 GT/CS did this. My 2013 SHO also was backlighted by white light during the day. I just tried mine and the dash was red, until the lights went off and the instruments then turned white as I drove away in the daylight.

Yea defaults to white.
I played with mine the other day only to get frustrated and realize that I needed the lights on!

Yes, v8ter. The info provided by the other members is correct. In order for them to work the headlights must be on and it does not function in the daytime. Without the headlights being on, your gauges will be white.

to change mycolor during the day, automatic headlamp setting isnt enough, make sure u take a hat or something to cover up the light sensor up infront of the dash then u could go into the settings
