400hp and 400ft/lb, impressive even if the torque might be a bit overstated. Image in the article shows what could be a very good looking motor if they just clean up the wiring and whatnot, potentially very Audi S4 (last gen) 4.2 in appearance. More likely, encased in the Shroud of Rubbermaid.
500+hp TT 5.0 for the GT500? I kind of figured this would happen, but won't be till next gen.

Of course, our sources tell us that Ford is already working on a version of the Coyote V-8 that will separate itself from the rest of the future V-8 engine lineup. In cartoons, the Coyote is only beat by a Road Runner. Look for a twin-turbo 5.0-liter “Road Runner” V-8 with well over 500-horsepower to debut first in the Mustang GT500 in 2012 and possibly, in F-150 Harley-Davidson edition pickups.
