May '13 Automobile Mag article
I wouldn't be so sure about that. This is a special year due to it being touted as the 50th anniversary. The New York show falls on the anniversary date, as stated in the article.
more like Nov this year

I doubt we'll see six engine options. Look at the rest of Ford's lineup. There is no vehicle with that many options. 3-4 makes sense, especially given the recent news of the Mustang making the trip overseas for the next gen.
Base
(Base option)
GT
SVT
Too much work trying to integrate other engine choices into the mix.

They did say in the 50th logo release that it would be a year long celebration. I could see part of that celebration revealing the car in the winter with the culmination being a spring sales release
I'll put my bet on a 4/2014 reveal of the production model. Aside from the poetic aspect of it -- being released 50 years after the original -- various rumors and other chatter from Ford seems to be pointing to that too.
Before that I could see several things occuring:
Extended production/sales of the current model
Release of a "Mustang Concept" a few months to .5 year earlier to smooth the transition to the significantly new design language
But yeah, kicking off the 2015 Mustang on the Mustang's 50th anniversary is simply too great a thing to forego.

I don't see it. A twin-turbo 5.0? If the blown 5.8 from the current GT500 won't fit in the engine compartment, I can't see how they can manage the plumbing for a boosted 5.0 under the hood. The same for a twin turbo 3.5. If the engine compartment of the new model is smaller than the existing vehicle, it is hard to imagine where they would find the room. Of course there are always tricks; relocate the battery box to the trunk (ala Boss 429). Or they could get creative, such as the new Z28, and go to a dry sump oil system (borrowing the dry sump oiling system from the 5.4 GT?). But solutions like that could get pricey.
On the other hand a boosted 4 should easily fit, even in a smaller engine bay. A more logical line-up would be turbo I4, a NA V6, and a NA V8, a total of 3 options sounds more credible. (4 if you toss in a NA 4 for Europe?)

Keep in mind, the Fusion sells 250,000+ units a year. The Mustang, on the other hand, sells between 75,000-100,000 as of late. You can afford to have more options on a car that sells 2.5x more than another because your costs are spread out on far more vehicles.
Ecoboost 5.0 in the GT500? No GT500 should ever have the letters E-C-O anywhere on it. The day a turbocharged V8 in a GT500 is about saving the planet is the day it needs to ride quietly off with its tail tucked between its legs.
I don't think you have to worry, if internet scuttlebutt is correct, Ford has acquired the GT350 moniker and I suspect if that's the case, the replacement for the Boss 302 will be a Ford sourced GT350.
I do hope they have a "Bullitt" version, or something like it, i.e., Boss/GT350 level performance bits wrapped in a clean, refined and classier styling package for those performance buffs beyond the acne stage of life or don't want to look like a rolling mid-life crisis.

I'll take whatever SVT are offering come the '16MY
Or EcoBEAST for anything V8 related that is FI.

I will bet money there will be no EB V6 Mustang model. Ever.
