I bought a APR GTC-200 rear wing a couple of years ago when I was tracking my Mustang. Well due to my local track closing and not wanting to trailer my car to and from a track I just stopped tracking my beloved car.
With that I just never put it on. Then I tried to sell it and after getting tired of flaky buyers I gave up and put it in the corner of the garage.Well I was cleaning out my garage and decided to give it a try. However I did not want to drill into my perfect OEM deck lid, so I bought a used deck lid, drilled, sanded, smoothed and painted (four coats of base RC, 3 coats of RC Pearl and 4 coats of clear), All on my own, mind you. Now if I get tired of the wing I can sell it and go back to my old set up without extra holes in the deck lid.,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your track near by. You seemed to be really into it over the last few years. Hard to loose something that you are that attached to. Car looks very Nice! Gives it a GT500 Look. Sharp looking Car.

Thanks Bert. Its a three stage paint and bought the paint from touchuppaint.com , The one thing I learned when I painted my last project ( my wife's truck) was that 90% is in the prep and 10% is in the spray gun and painter. The wing is a full functional wing from APR (see the attachment).
You did a fantastic job and it looks great on the car like it is. You're correct about painting. Grandfather was a paint and body man his whole life. He used to say something to the effect of the difference between a $2k paint job and a $20k paint isn't in the materials or person spraying it. It's the labor in the prep and bodywork.
