I hope the California Special dies with the S197. The appearance package should be called that and nothing more.

Engine:
5.0 Coyote

Trim:
Premium

Options: Thinking some options will be on the premium.

GT track pack
Adaptive Cruise Control
BLIS with cross traffic
Reverse sensing system
Hid headlamps
Options are tough not knowing exactly what will be offered with what.

Transmission:
Auto w/paddle shifters (wife) Hope I like it. (Not offered with GT track pack?)

Colors: Undecided

Competition Orange
Ruby Red
Black

If they had Tuxedo Black for the 15 MY Mustang I'd have a hard time passing on it! Black is so tough to keep clean though!

Can't imagine hids wouldn't be standard since they already are on this gen but we'll see I guess.

I don't see myself buying one until the new svt is unveiled but if I did it'd be a 2.3 manual to be my dd. I think a performance package with big brakes, suspension & recaros all else base would be a great seller.

Track Pack
Recaros

I hope so too. There was nothing "special" about the California Special after it was offered year after year. It originally was offered primarily in California as a local branding effort. Remember the Twister Special? I think there were others too.

Competition Orange 5.0

Track Package
Recaros

Plus whatever options I'm forced to get in order to get the HID + LED headlights and the cool center stack with the toggle switches.

And as few silly electronic nannies as possible.

Judging from photos the toggle switches appear to only be on premium cars.

The base car in LA didn't have them.

I wish you could get cloth seats in the premium cars. I want the My Ford Touch and Recaros but I want cloth Recaros.

GT 5.0 6MT

we didn't get much of an idea of the interior seat options... thinking right now
#1 Ruby Red/Black
#1a Magnetic/Red (please no more red steering wheel)
#2 Comp Orange/Black

performance pack (hopefully with 20s, tho those black 19s were looking real good. to continue way over thinking it i hope there are good winter wheels available that will clear those 6 piston calipers...)

premium interior
MFT
heated/cooled seats
memory seats
park distance and rear camera
GT spoiler delete (unless it is functional)
would order the recaros if they are power/heated/cooled but i don't expect that

I am certain that I want a fully loaded GT 5.0 Premium with Track Package, but too much is uncertain at the moment on how packages will be configured. If there is a color very close to Sterling Gray, I'll go with that, but Competition Orange is calling me...
