That's a good point! Maybe we can get an Armageddon-edition Mustang. 1200hp and no brakes...

So I just got my today and there was a flyer in it from Ford telling me they have 0% finacing for 60 months or $2,500 cash back on new Mustangs. I think my car is about to hit 50k miles by the end of the year or so, (07 bought in 06) and I've been activly talking myself out of buying a new car for months now, lol. This is killing me...

I was/am aiming for a 2015 but if it's ugly no go.
Not selling my car either so it would be an addition.
hope they make me happy!

I'd try to be patient and wait another year or two (2012-2013). Hopefully we'll have a more concrete idea of what the 2015 Mustang will look like by then and you can decide to buy the upcoming refreshed Mustang, which will be old news by then and probably come with nice rebates, or go forward and get the 2015.

Well I made this thread 3 months ago, but I can't wait anymore.

Trading in for a 5.0 by end of this month. This would have been a lot easier had I bought a GT in the first place lol

Waiting to see what it looks like and the promise of lower weight. If it looks good, will wait another year till they get (most of) the bugs worked out of it. Of course, if it's priced out of reach, it's a no-go no matter how good it is.

If the 2015MY does not feature a full fastback greenhouse, I'll just hold onto my current 05 GT indefinitely.. As we already know the next gen Stang will not be evolving from the current D2C platform, as J Mays has clearly stated the 2015MY will be moving away from D2C's retro styling theme altogether in favor of a more modern direction towards Ford's upcoming GRWD platform !

I want to say that I'm waiting but the new Boss just has a hold on me. So I'm not sure yet. The new model will be out before I'm ready to buy anyway so I'm not too terribly worried. I just really like the current body style and it would be nice to hang on to such a car going into the future. I just don't feel like these cars will be styled as they are much longer. I too usher in all the new changes but I am doubting there will be another Mustang with the raw ferocity that the Boss brings. I will be a fan of the new and the old. I can't truly say which I will want more just yet but I am still leaning on a 2012 Boss.

Oh yeah, and a Raptor!

Talk is obviously cheap in the net, but I am genuinely waiting for the next gen Mustang. I sincerely hope that I'm not disappointed when it arrives.

I skipped on the 2010 and am so far not biting on the 5.0 ... and I can't afford a Boss or Shelby, so that temptation just isn't there.

I am waiting to see if the 2015 is my thing, and if so I'll take it. Otherwise - gasp - I'll look at a Camaro or Chalenger ... or even a Hyundai Genesis!

... but I WON'T be giving up my 2005 GT convertible. No way, that is now a family heirloom.

Just read that the new Genesis will have 350hp for the v6, and 275hp for the turbo 4. Not bad...

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a used 11-14 GT or GT500 when the 2015 comes out. I know from previous experience that the best time to buy one is right before the new style comes out. I like the fact that I don't see many 2010-12 GTs on the road in my area and now with the new 2013-14 cars it seems that this body style will stand out and seem like a rarer car than the previous generations of Mustang. I have a feeling that a lot of 2011-12 GT500s are going to be traded in for the next 12 months....I think thats the best bargain

My plan is to get a 2013 GT500. If the 2014 GT500 does not have a power drop, I will trade in the 2013 GT500 for a 2014 GT500. If the 2015 Mustang does not have a solid rear axle, I probably will then have pruchased my last Mustang.

Why would you trade it in for the same car?

Would trade just to get the latest edition. Maybe the 2014 GT500 would have heat extractors in the hood that would be different than the 2013 GT500. Hint, I like the 2013 GT hood heat extractors.

Seems like a worthless endeavor. You won't see much in changes between 13 and 14. I don't think the extractors will make it to the GT500. Sorry to disappoint.
