How many miles on your new 2015 Mustang when you took delivery?

Been checking local dealers, and seeing over 50 and up to 150 miles on some new GT's. Just curious how many miles were on your new stang at delivery? I would love to find a sub 10 mile car at a dealer, but feel ordering it is the only way to ensure minimal miles.

Well first of all where do you live? My dealership has them with low/no miles? If you go to a Ford dealership that is geared more more towards Truck and SUV sales you can find them with low miles. :-)

Or just as MuddyLX posted, factory ordering your car ensures the least amount of miles and nobody else gets to take your car for test drives either

Yup, I'll probably just order one. There is one close by opted exactly like I would order with over 100 miles on the odo. Need this day to pass so I get to my local dealer and sign before I do something stupid and buy that one. I was just surprised to find so many that have seen dozens of test drives.

My 13 had about 170 on it when I bought it. It was speced exactly how I wanted and the only one left like it in the country. I wasn't super happy about all of the test drives on her. But it's all good. I would have driven those 170 miles the same way anyway.

It's a brand new completely redesigned 50th anniversary Mustang! I don't think we should be to surprised about many test drives. Lots of people are interested and want to test drive them. :-)

Agreed. If it's what you want and looks good, I'd jump on it. Especially bc of the body panel issues that have been circulating. Last thing you'd want is to wait for an order and have it show up with cosmetic issues. Less than 200 miles is perfectly within normal range for new cars. I remember all of the boss 302's in my area at the time had 100+.

The one I looked at has a small fit problem in the rear by the tail lights. Not a show stopper but added to my willingness not to buy on first look. Hood, doors and trunk lid all look good. It looks stunning, just really want to be the only one abusing it.

My 2015 had 6 miles on it when I test drove it. My local deal will not let anyone test drive a new mustang without a $500 deposit. I've bought dozens of cars and trucks from them but I still needed a deposit.

That's very unusual for any dealership to require a $500.00 deposit from a potential customer for just test driving a car in which they may be interested in purchasing..

For starters, the sales rep is usually with the driver during the test drive to begin with anyhow, and what happens if for some reason the customer decides they don't like the car.. Do they get they're $500.00 deposit back ?

That's a new one on me also. I usually drive 3 or 4 cars before settling on a new one. Never had any issues with test drives.

Mine had 45-miles documented in Finance, but I put 20-miles on during the test drive, so 25-miles isn't bad.

Mine had 39 miles. What kills me is seeing people on these and other message boards test driving the new mustang with no intention of buying one. I'm not pro dealer, but why waste a salesman time just to see how the car drives. Why not go out and rent one for weekend. And the dealer charging a $500 deposit is just to see if your a serious buyer. Probably had to many people showing up just for a test drive. While I understand not wanting to buy a new car with over 100 miles because of potential abuse from test drives, I don't think it would cause any harm to the car.

My EB had 13 miles on it, but I put 6 on the test drive, so it had 7 miles on it when I initially looked at it.

Ford pays me $50 to test drive a new Ford every year even though I have no intention of buying one! So I should say no?

Very true. My factory ordered 2014 GT had 6 miles on the ODO when I went to pick it up.

Mine had 21 miles on it when it arrived at the dealership. It had 29 in finance after I took her for a quick spin prior to signing all of the paperwork.
