How about a Targa top or Sunroof?

I like the targa top like the Toyota Supra & Corvette or at least a sunroof , but I think targa top would look a little better.

How many would like one or the other?

No thanks. Had targa tops in my 300zx TT and they were a faff to use, taking up most of the trunk space when not in place. And they leak. And you get additional wind noise.

Sunroof? Maybe, but not at the expense of headroom.

As long as they offer the glass roof for the next gen I'll be happy. I consider it a must have option.

T-tops or a targa would be nice. Better though, I think, would be just a sunroof whose glass panel is as large as the current glass roof option. Then you don't have to give up space in the trunk to stow your roof. It would also be nice if it used a material whose transparency could be adjusted electronically, like Mercedes-Benz's "Magic Sky Control". I'd consider that to be the ultimate roof.

We must be getting close to a new Mustang. People always seem to start asking for T-tops or sunroofs when a new Mustang is just about ready to hit.

How about a retractable Targa top? Just seconds to open and close.

Yuck to both. I suppose as long as it is an option I wouldn't care but if it adds one ounce to the total weight of the car without one I'd be pissed. I suppose the stupid dealers would be ordering it to pad the price which would make buying one without harder so I say NO.

Glass roof with a tilt rear vent. To get the air flowing.

Sometimes I really miss open air driving. I had T-tops on my 83 Camaro and 85 IROC-Z. I had an 89 Z28 Convertible, then a 92 Firebird with T-tops. After that came my 1994 Mustang Convertible. For me the convertibles were the most fun. I also got one this time around but rationalized having a coupe + more options and enjoying the retro fastback roofline and quarter window design. As hot as it is nowdays there just are not enough nice days to enjoy top down weather.

Glass roof is the way to go. Maybe next gen they'll be able to do something cool with it.

I don't know about the dealerships where you live, but in northern Minnesota and eastern North Dakota I've never seen one glass-roofed Mustang on a lot. Come to think of it, when I've looked on Autotrader.com, there were relatively few across the whole country that had glass roofs. So I doubt that dealers would order the majority of their stock units with an expensive roof unless they were selling like hotcakes.

I had a del sol and I loved the targa top. I have a rag top now and hate it. If they did a targa top I think that would be awsome. But its not really the mustang way tho. Just don't see it.

A lot of people hate change ,but were would we be if everything never changed. I think mustang needs to change to stay a head of the competition.
people need to be more open minded.

How about a retractable glass roof?

It has already been done:

That is what I would like to see!

I like the glass roof concept, but I can't justify the extra weight.

i would 100% order a regular sunroof even over the glass roof. i think the chances are pretty slim of a trick sliding glass roof probably cost more than weight holding it back tho. still that would be really cool option but im not sure folks would be willing to jump in for a 3500-4500 option maybe more, the diff in price between a 911 and 911 targa is around 14K
