I'm mostly decided on keeping my '11 but when weighing my options, I got a quote on the trade for my 2011 that was right on par with the KBB trade in value...under the assumption that I would keep the car until I took delivery of the '15.

How did you work your trade? What did you get for an offer?

How are you driving it in the meantime?

I'll get an offer when I actually trade in my car.

A co-worker of mine recently did that same thing. He traded in his old car, and had to order the one he wanted. So in the mean time they have him a loaner, which happened to be his old car.

I wasn't aware that places did this (his is a Subaru by the way), but apparently it does happen.

Yeah...it's a strange arrangement.

When I ordered my 2011, I had my 2009 GT for 12 weeks while I waited (the car was a month overdue on delivery). I was happy to have more time in my 2009 but honestly made me a bit nervous that something could happen to my car and ruin the whole deal.
