Getting out of my 2015 order

I ordered a 2015 mustang back in July. It was built on 10/15. There is no scheduled delivery date and no one can tell me any info regarding as to when to expect delivery. I have now found the exact car I ordered at another dealer and would like to just go there and buy it. I put no money down. How do I get out of my order? Anyone else have this issue?

Im not sure how you would get out of it. I know my dealer offered to get me a mustang from a different dealer even if its not under same ownership. He said they would do a trade from one dealer to another, not 100% sure how that works. ill call my guy that sold me mine and ask him how that works and ill let you know.

Don't buy it. You didn't even put a deposit down. Tell your dealer you found another one...

Exactly, if you didn't put money down, just call them up and tell them you don't want it. No need to even go in. Car sales aren't binding till you take delivery.

If your dealer is good and you like them have them dealer trade the car. That happens all the time. If not just wait a little longer for the one you ordered.

Since you did not put any money down or sign anything you have nothing to hold you to buy that car. Its not the Dealers fault that the car has not shipped. Mine was ordered and I was in the possition you are in. The car shipped a few days later and I had it within the week.

Even if you put $ down you're not obligated to buy and they would have to refund your deposit.. & since you didn't put one down it's a nonissue.

You will need to address this with your sales manager, sampthomas1982. I know everyone would like to know in full detail the happenings at the plant; however this has never been the case. As I’ve mentioned before, I know there have been extra inspections being made before releases and shipping. Please let me know what you decide to do after speaking with them.
