I want to know if this is user error or car.

Basically i switch to gear to reverse and as i slowly let go of clutch i can hear/feel the shift handle vibrate and grind. I press on the clutch and it stops and i go back to neutral and reverse again then it goes away. It happened to me twice today. It's a brand new car by the way lol.

 

Your shifter can't be fully engaged or the gears wouldn't grind. Try this put the car in second gear first, you don't have to let the clutch out, then shift to reverse and it should match better when it goes into gear. Then let the clutch out and see if it grinds. This second gear to ??? also works when having trouble getting car into first gear at idle.
