Do I want to go from my V6 to a newer EcoBoost?

I have a plain jane 2013 convertible with the V6 and really like the engine. I'm not a hot-rodder but I can't believe how good the mileage is and the durability seems to be pretty rock-solid on these engines. It's a darn quiet engine and has plenty of snot for passing.
But... I would like to upgrade and would like to get a nicer interior the next time around and that has to point me towards the EcoBoost.
So what is the real deal on reliability on these EcoBoost? It seems like there's plenty of things around saying that there's problems carboning up in 50 to 60 thousand miles etc Etc. Are the EcoBoost stories kind of true or are they over blown? What say the experts?

I had a '15 EB for almost 3 years and 26K miles. Never had any issues, plenty of power around time and the gas milage was good. I never touched the engine though (no tune, CAI, etc.), so I can't speak to reliability if you start modding.
I ended up trading her for a new GT because I missed the V8. I, however, have obviously sacrificed gas mileage.

Based on your description I don't think you do. Power delivery of the ecoboost is different than your V6. If you enjoy mid-range eco is stronger there. If you enjoy winding it out stay with the 6. Eco can be great with some mods though.
