Detroit Free Press article on the 2015 + 50 yr anniversary
Ford will unveil the 50th anniversary 2015 Mustang late this year or early in 2014. It will come from the Flat Rock assembly plant where the current model is built.
"I expect a lot of changes, but a design that will clearly grow out of the current car," said Mike Rey, president of the Mustang Owners Club of Southeast Michigan. "It won't be some far-out European-looking car."
See won't be some crazy European contraption!!

I think all the stated comments were essentially suppositions, not unlike on this board at this point. I would tend to agree though with my supposition being a much more modern interpretation of the Mustang's DNA than the rather retro-heavy design of the current one, but still clearly a Mustang.
I think the fears that it will turn out as some bland, generic Euro/world coupe is a lot of hyperbolic hyperventilating. My guess is that a muscled up EVOS concept car might be a good broad indication of what the 2015 might look like. Again though, like most everything else regarding the 2015 design, basically just suppositions and guesses.

Shame then as even the first Mustang was Euro influenced... It's why I love my '65.
I think people throw around "Euro" in too many contexts. It's hard to map it to specific styling cues at this point. What people called "Euro" then might be considered "American" now.
Weren't the one piece headlamps on the 87-93 considered "euro" styling when they came out?
I think some considered most new technical/mechanical features were considering "Euro" when the first came out. There's no small contingent of Luddites among the Mustang faithful, still pining for carbs, leafsprings and bias ply tires. Don't EVEN mention I-R-S in their presence.
Some were still trying to get over the demise of real 'Murkin-style brass whale-oil headlights.
