Just wanted to start a thread where those of us who have had the privilege of meeting with or talking to the folks at Ford behind the new Mustang can say, "Job well done!"

I was worried based on some spy shots and renders and even early leaks but I have to say this is a terrific looking car. Can't wait to see and drive one in person. You all deserve high praise for your work on this piece of automotive history and a global brand icon.

I am humbled to have communicated with such fine people.

I want to add to that congrats to the team involved. Cannot wait to get my hands on one and try out the new chassis. Let's see what the SVT skunk works has up their sleeve for this new generation.

I agree with the sentiments above. Great job Ford, this was no easy task!

 

I could not imagine being on that design team. With all the passion for what each of those people had for what they thought belonged on the car.... to be able to agree on a final design would be nearly impossible. Good Grief! Just look at all the disagreement on this site alone!

 

I've met and talked with Dave Pericak on a couple of different occasions at the Mustang Alley events. First of all, just a great and down to earth guy. Most importantly, he's just like the rest of us...he's a Mustang enthusiast and I think his team did a great job of letting the Pony "Evo-lve". Retro has been there done that; time to move on. My Boss isn't leaving my stable but I could see one of these new Stangs as a daily driver replacement to my Fuze someday.




Glad someone started this thread because I think they did an awesome job.

 

Congrats to the Mustang team I think they did a great job!!! I will be looking forward to seeing one face to face at the NY auto show!
