Question Any impressions with the 2015 Auto Trans?

**Warning** This is not another manual vs auto thread...Do not post anything about manual vs automatic...

Any of you 15 guys/gals happy with the automatic trasmision and the paddle shifters? Are they fun to drive? What are your impressions compard to other automatic tramissions in other like cars?

I do not have an auto nor have I driven one, however, I have watched a lot of youtube drive evaluations (each seems to have some observation the rest do not). One tester noted that the car down/up shifts when the paddle shifters are used even without putting the lever in S mode first. If this is done then the transmission goes back to shifting in normal auto mode again after a few minutes if the paddle shifters are not touched again. Just an FYI...

So you can't hold the Auto-trans gear like if you want to using the paddles?

You can hold a gear, what he was saying is that you do not specifically need to be in S mode to perform a manual up/down shift. In other words, you can manual shift whenever you want, but if left in D, it will revert back to normal auto shifting after a short period of time. If you put the car in S, you are manual except on downshifts when the computer determines you're going too slow for a specific gear.
