Absolutely the best design addition Ever!

The three front LED lights on the 2015 Mustang are probably the best design addition I have ever seen. It is so iconic with Mustang history. WTG Ford.

2 years ago I was thinking about doing projector retrofits and was looking to do something similar to fill up all the blank space in the headlight housing. I ran across them when I was looking to see if anyone made a kit to do it.

Yes, the tri-bar is a nice retro styling feature...

Isn't that a little bit like these? Absolutely the best design addition Ever!-image-598925933.jpg

Not tri bar obviously but a little modern retro.

Yes of course, but the newer LED tech has a smoother diffuser so it actually looks like neon instead of seeing the baffled diffuser like our LEDs have. It's a lot more sharp. Just like the 11-14 Chargee versus the 15+ (same for Durango too).

I like both the "13-"14 led's as well as the led's in the "15. But the led's on the "15 fit the "retro" theme more.

Can we update ours to the newer tech?

It would require a retrofit by one of the companies that does such conversions, say The Lighting Firm or Yuke's HID Retrofits, or even Demonized Designs (the guy that did Burton's fog lights). Anything can be done for the $$

Look into led tube lights. It's an opaque tube, over smd strips and lights up exactly how you're describing. Over the winter I plan on doing it to mine while the car is in storage

I've seen them all over, but haven't yet tracked down strips small enough to fit in the slots as in the OP's picture. Smallest I've seen is 6" strip
