Another little delay! Ultimately, work on the 2022 Ford Mustang will stop for the next two days: April 28th and April 29th, 2022. That is actually an improvement over previous stoppages at the facility, which traditionally have lasted for at least seven days.
The dealership also said Ford was considering building drivable cars so customers could actually get them, then send chips to the dealership later for installation (when the chip is available). Let’s say you have a car with heated seats- you would get your car now, but the heated seat may not work until they ship the chip to the dealership. I think GM is doing this already.
