2018 GT500 Reveal?

Found this post on Facebook today regarding a reveal from Shelby at Barrett Jackson. I speculate that we will get our first look at the new GT500. It clearly says that it'll be a mustang and there is this tag, #50years. First GT500 came out 50 years ago. Thoughts?

IF a new GT500 shows up, ( 2019/2020 MY ), it will come from Ford, not SAI !!

That's a good point, but what else would they be revealing?

If Shelby American is involved, its not going to be the GT500 you're thinking it will be. It will likely be some kind of upgrade package like the current Shelby GT. I'll guess a GT350 Super Snake Package for the GT350/R

I hope this isn't the car that "was supposed to hold us over" till the new GT500 comes out. I like the car, but not in love with it. (On a scale of 1-10, 10 being super awesome, I give it a 7.5, in "my" opinion of it.)
I hope the new GT500 doesn't disappoint either.
AND,............I really, really hope it doesn't have that stupid stop/start engine bullsh*t like the new 2018 models are going to have.
How embarrassing it that for a muscle car to have a stop/start engine at a red light or stop sign?!? No more V8 idle rumble?!? pppppppfffffftttttttt
Bad enough they did that on the Raptor!! Go buy a ****in* Prius or Volt. Don't put that shi* on a Mustang or a bad *** truck like the Raptor!!!
It's funny, dudes are flipping out about it on mustang6g as well. I'm glad they are. I have to see what the guys are saying on svtperformance about it.

(For the record, I know it can be shut off every time you restart the car and eventually there will be tuners that will make it disappear permanently from the car if you so wish.)

There is usually a disable for the start/stop, like in the VW Golf, so you don't have to use it.
