They should be the same, but my wife came back from driving the new V6 we just got for my daughter several hundred miles and swears the radio in the V6 is much louder.

Anything that might explain this? She sent me a picture of the volume being turned all the way up in our GT today while she was out and said ti was loud but nowhere near as much as the V6.

If the GT is a BASE model, it should have the same exact radio as the V6.


If the GT is a Premium model (leather), it should have a better sounding stereo ... more speakers and more power.


Different Base / Mid / Treble settings could certainly make one sound louder than the other.

You also have the ability to setup your radio to adjust the volume based on speed and to adjust the balance for best sound at the driver position.
