Question 2015 Shifting

I just drove an EcoBoost with the 6-speed and I have to ask what has Ford done to the shifter and/or the gearbox for the 2015? It is just head and shoulders above the shifter in my 2012 B302. Is it even the MT-82 still? Whatever it is can I get it added to my 2012?

Its still the MT-82, but its not really clear what was changed. My only complaint is the 1-2 shift is a bit hard.

I read that the synchros were changed for 2015 rendition of the MT-82. The shifter itself may have been changed too. I'm curious to drive one of the new cars and compare.

I have zero issues with my 2015 shifter and running through the gears. Coming from a '90 LX with Tremec 3550 and Steeda shifter, it's a nice feeling.

Also nice it's my first new Mustang in 34 years.
