It may look nice on a Tesla, but not on a Mustang.. Looks too much like a Celica IMHO !

Well, this one was well worth waiting for

Designed by John McBride (Midnight Octane - well worth checking out his other work).........and courtesy of http://www.mustang6g.com/ )

This rendering is also in the next issue of MM&FF magazine.

There's a lot to like in this one, but those headlights are aggressively stupid.

If it ends up looking like number 3, which I doubt it will, I would trade-in my 05' in a second.

One can only hope
I mean its a perfect modern take on the "New Edge" which would make sense because theyre tryin to go global with the new Mustang which is new ground for the company. Plus the rear windows may be able to roll down too givin a completely open space similar to some mercedes and BMW models. The curves add that euro sleekness but you can tell that its bristeling with power, in american essence.
IMO its a great blend of both styles, proportions are spot on, its modern take on a previous step outside of the box, and looks downright sexy

Love those headlights that is exactly what I would like to see. Something new some thing cutting edge, sinister and aggressive.

It's a neat sketch, but I'm not exactly soiling myself. McBride still puts too much visual weight at the forward edge of the hood too.

I like this new rendering... Lots to like, but I agree, the front looks a little clunky for my tastes. I like the pencil sketch that led to this design a little better, I think.

Anyone want to make a wager on this thread seeing 1 million views before we see anything from Ford??

That's a great render! I'll take mine white with blue stripes please. It looks agressive, modern and most of all it looks like a Mustang. I agree in some since that the front end is a bit out of proportion but its important to remeber this is only a sketch and not a real world car. With that said I don't think its fair to judge the propotions to harshly.

not bad but something needs to be done about that front end. too much current GT500 & EVO's for me. that'd look like an awesome SVT Fusion though!!

Comments like "clean it up" make no freaking sense. That's a very clean design. Very simplistically aggressive and attractive. It works.

"clean it up"? What is that supposed to even mean?

On another note, I didn't finish my rendering yet. Been busy but working a bit at a time. It's mostly there but not quite ready.

Agrees on the clean up. I wish more of the folks talkin bout the next gen mustang (not just on TMS) would have a better understanding of what they actually want in design and performance

idk i feel like that render looks like a caricature of the current mustang only with the fusion front fascia slapped on it.

Again, those squinty little headlights makes the car look fat and swollen. Not to mention the Steve Urkel belt-line...

Im seein similarities between that and these two renderings. Added EVOS inspired front end, kinda sleek things down, and few other subtleties. The shape i really like. As for the actual design in the render you posted, its growin on me but its not an instant hit

Perhaps it's just me, but I also see some Mazda RX-8 cues in this rendering

This rendering is nearly identical with the current Camaro IMHO
