When I decode my VIN it states light window tint. If this is true does it filter and UV rays?

 

Most ford's come with UV filtering glass. It doesn't darken the windows but it supposedly reduces the UV that comes into the car to keep it cooler in the summer and help the interior last longer (not fade).
It will still be hot when parked, but I guess the AC won't have to work as hard if you are driving on a sunny day.

 

new info to me. i spend $ on ceramic coating on my tint for heat rejection.

 

UV filtering won't stop the heat. IR filtering will.
