I think that this Thursdays official unveiling of the new M3/M4 specs will have an impact on the official rating of the new stang. With he new focus on the m3 and other high end sports cars as a target competitor. As we know ford had been under rating the 5.0 anyway so my guess is they will match or beat whatever the new M motor is rated at.

So should I just get the stang and use her car when we go somewhere as a family. Should I say, "Well Hell, if he can't sit in the back might was well get the Vette!" Should I show some consideration for him and get the new CTS Vsport or see what the new CTS V is like??? I actually like the New Chevy SS as an option for a reasonably priced 4 door GO FAST machine.
It's a great time to be a fan of American muscle. I've never owned a GM product, but they are making some nice stuff. Although I really really don't like the big bow tie logo on the Wheel of the SS.
I'm just going to settle in for another year with the 2011 and see what special editions are coming out. The neat thing about driving a car you really enjoy is that you are in no rush even when great new cars come out.

I also like the concept of the Chevy SS/Charger R/T. I really wish Ford would offer a nice RWD V8 sedan to compete with these cars. $40-45k, minimal options, even with auto only. I'd love it for a daily driver.

Hopefully they dialed up the IRS to handle the whatever the engine puts out ( well within reason ) the durability of the 8.8 stick axle should have been the base line for the new IRS in terms of what abuse it could handle.

The ability to withstand reasonable mods is one of the things that has attracted mustang faithful year after year.

I think we will learn at the Detroit Auto Show, as well as learn about the secret OEM feature.
I am guessing 435 HP and 410 tq.
I want a 7.5k redline.
Only things that would make this car perfect would be Rev match and HUD.

You misread his post. GM utilized part of taxpayer "bailout" money for China operations. Just like GE (and others) took stimulus money from the taxpayer and spent the money on China manufactured components. You are twisting the DOE money story as if Ford took the "bailout money" to keep afloat.

I'm sure Steeda will have charge motion deletes within 6 months
