Has anyone heard much about the airbag recall the federal govt has laid down ?

2005 through 2014 Mustangs recalled for airbags. I got a recall today on my Ford Owners Account to replace the Airbag Inflator.

My question is whos making the replacement parts and whats quality control and testing like.

 

I checked the mail yesterday and had a recall notice from Ford in the mailbox.

 

Got mine yesterday as well but they said they will send another when the product is available.

 

Yep, mine said the same thing.

 

Got my letter about the same, Late July. Checked with my dealer last week and nothing doing. They don't have parts yet. Told me they can't do anything until I get the second letter saying parts are available. Then they can actaully place an order for the replacement parts.

Sure hope the D*** thing does not actually have to fire off.

Did you get another notice in the mail? I thought we would when parts are available. My dealer keeps saying there's no parts.

 

Still waiting to hear anything - we bought 2 2014 GT/CS one convertible and one coupe this year......

 

I had my 2006 Pony air bags replaced a year ago. I received a card in the mail saying they need to be replaced again. I went to the Dealer and they have told me for the past 3 months that the new Airbags are on back order. We now have 2 2014 Mustangs and they need to be replaced as well. Still waiting.
