I can pretty much guarantee this would be correct. Bear knows that people that actually race don't want the drilled and slotted rotors. That's a car show deal at this point.

I would want to know that this upgrade will accept the brembo gt500 blanks however, as that would be the cheapest route considering rotors are a wear item.

I wouldn't want to be locked in to having to use the expensive baer pieces.

Well, I was a year later, apparently my source didn't consider Ford's odd MY/CY setup for dating. The Brembos (from the 2010 GT500) will be an option on the 2011 GT. The GT500 will get its own set of bigger ones, quite possibly as a standalone option or even part of the SVT performance package that has been broken.

The 2011 GT500 brakes are 10mm bigger rotors. Confirmed that with a CAD design vs. the 2010. GT w/Brembos is same as 2010 GT500 IIRC.

Part #s are showing same tho....also the order guide still says 14". 10mm more would be ~14.4". They would notate that.

Can anyone confirm/deny or add to this?
Pray to god that this is correct.

So far it is. The Brembo package is basically GT500 brakes on the GT. Not sure yet on the GT500 brakes being upgraded, it might not happen til 2012 either.

ECI if you need better brakes, get some better pads in there. Fortunately, there is a wide selection available for the 4-piston Brembo caliper:

So, this is coming back from the dead, but I recently talked to my sources, and I was told the wrong information initially. Now the rumor is 380mm rotors on the GT500. I'd also guess a new larger caliper with the extra surface area.

That would make sense. The Z28 mules have been spotted wearing 6-pot calipers, so if the GT500 were to ante up and match it, it wouldn't shock me.

Nice, sure would be a good upgrade. Then others could buy them as well

I'd rock out a nice big set of clamps on the front if they're available.

Wow eci. Where's he been?? That's about 15" correct? If they do that, then they should make the 14" Brembos standard on the GT and 13.2" GT brakes standard on the V6.

Brake pad cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The 4-pot Brembos are plenty. Past that it's just bling.
