For the dudes who have have this problem, does it sound something like this? Click the picture......

For the most part, it only does it when the car has been driven for awhile, and it is only the drivers side that makes the noise. The passenger side is quiet.

I have hesitated taking it to my dealer since I am running Roush springs/Koni STR.Ts/GT500 Strut mounts. I just know they are going to blame that for the noise.

ScottH -- no, that's not the sound my '11 GT makes. It's more of a clunk.

Just asking but are you sure you installed both 500 mounts with the arrows pointing out?

My dealer ordered me new lower control arms; having them installed Monday. Apparently, build dates before April 2011 potentially have a problem.

My dealer replaced the lower control arms today on my '11 GT. It seems like the noise is gone. Fingers crossed.

Received a call from my service advisor on Tuesday afternoon and she told me that the lower control arms would need to be replaced. Today is Wednesday and just got the call that my car ready. Hopfully this repair will stop the noises.
Did it fix it? because mine is making those noises too but they are only coming from the front passenger side. I took my car to the dealer and they replaced the strut. The mechanic tested it over a few bumps after and didn't hear anything so I thought that was it. Next day I go over a few bumps and everything seems fine but after a while of driving I go over more bumps and I hear the same noise.
I had an 05 mustang and never heard anything like this plus a taurus with 300k miles in it and speed bumps went super smooth on this one.

I put about 3500 miles since the lowers were replaced on a 2012 GT, not a squeek, creek or thud since.

By the way, it was louder on the passenger side.

This is what I hear when going over bumps but louder. This didn't happen for the first 2 or 3 weeks and has never happened on any other Ford car I had.

Driver Side minimal sound I guess it should be normal.

Passenger Side gets worse when going over bumps.

Bottoming out as well.

I am taking mine to the shop this Monday on this issue. The car is fine on a flat & normal road but drive it over a bump, small pothole, speedbump, etc...the car sounds like its bottoming out. I will print out this article when I take it in.

This is another visit to the shop for this car.

First issue(s) were issues from the fuel filler neck and now this.

Just hit 4,000 miles & seems like I won't make it to 36,000 without multiple trips to the shop.

Let me know if you'd like me to escalate this for you, 06GT.
