so I bought a 2011 GT with an automatic transmission in January. Car has been a dream, besides the transmission. I believe its got a 6 year 60,000mile warranty. Some times ill have to stop quicker than normal and it will lung pretty bad. Sometimes I will come up to a stop sign and When I start back up it wont get out of 4th gear. Same thing happened to a car in my family and cant be fixed needs a whole new transmission. Any body know if I'm covered?

Your powertrain warranty is 5-years/60,000 miles. Take it in to any Ford dealership if its still under warranty.

Hello lysingerjj,

I recommend bringing it in to your Ford Dealer and speaking to your service manager about this concern. He is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

Also, remember most paid repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty. You can schedule an appointment online here. Have a nice day!

Mine acted the same way... just the way the transmission normally shifts I think. I used the hill assist button to make it more like I liked. Then I added the JLT intake, FRPP axle backs and BAMA tune (from American Muscle). It lets you adjust the shifting the way you like. I am very happy with it now.
