Transmission slipping?

I gassed it like normal as a light turned green but I went n turned n the next thing i know, my car starts to shake violently while no acceleration. I then decided to stop on the side of the road. Got out looked underneath to make sure nothing was dragging, nothing. got back in n then started it and continued on. No problems to my destination, which was an hour. It seemed to have happened slightly later eve. It seemed sluggish so i proceeded slowly the rest of the eve. Today it seemed ok. It was the first bitter cold the other day. Do u think i should get it looked at?

2012 gt - auto.

I would go ask them to look at it. The car isn't even a year old.

Yep...see the dealer....unless you gassed it enough to spin the tires on the cold pavement.

It seemed like no response while it shook as i gassed it. Other ppl seemed to notice it behind me they backed off of me to let me over. Ok i will take it in. I told a mech i met he said the samething, take it in. I hope i wont make them mad if i bring it n they say "i dont see nothing wrong". Conclusion jumping i know.

Thanks[cross fingers]

If tranny was slipping you'd smell it.

Cold stock tires and a lot of gas will give you a ton of wheel hop and not much forward movement. Just saying. Definitely take it in just o be sure though.

Hello ZipZap04,

I also recommend you bring your vehicle in to your Ford dealer for diagnosis. Then, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service manager for your area.

Let me escalate this to the customer service manager of your area as well, Oric. Please, make an appointment and PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can help.

If you have a problem it would be shake all the time. The TCS will make the car shake or shutter if you put your foot in it. I turn off AdvanceTrac off unless it's raining.

Sounds like you need to find an empty parking lot away from everything and play with the car. Do some burnouts with traction control on and off to see how it reacts.

Had a similar issue today, left work without really letting the car warmup. Everything was smooth, pulled out on the road, easy acceleration thru the gears, then partly into 4th I get some shaking and traction control light blinking, only for 3-4 secs. It stops and all is well the rest of the ride, including some spirited driving after it warmed up. This issue sound familiar to anyone?

2013 gt manual track pack.

Sounds like you had some spirited driving in 4th....normal action when the wheels spin with traction control on.

No, was just smoothly accelerating/getting up to speed limit. Kinda felt like wheel hop. Maybe I hit a wet spot??
