Torque converter expert needed
Hey guys,
I have a 2012 Mustang gt candy red with the 6r80 auto.
The tranny is tight everywhere except for this:
When I'm in overdrive and anywhere between 1100 rpm and 1500 RPM and I press the gas just a tad to take advantage of the tourqe converter lock-up clutch, it sounds like the lock-up clutch engages and disengages in and out a few times till the motor hits 1500 RPM. The lock-up clutch will stay engaged after 1500 RPM till I tell it to unlock with the gas pedal being pressed a tad more to unlock it. So the RPM will bounce slightly up and down because of the lock-up clutch enganging and disengaging till 1500 RPM. No slipping or shuddering, just the motor RPM bouncing up and down slightly, you can hear it and watch the tach when it does it. The tach reads it accuratly and follows the RPM as it changes with the TQ lock-ups.
And tranny experts here? I think it's a electronic setting/issue. Thoughts?

My name is Deysha with Ford Customer Service. I recommend you bring your vehicle in to your Ford dealer for diagnosis as soon as possible. They can check it out for you and contact our Technical Hotline if needed. Then, private message me with your VIN, dealer, contact info, and mileage so I can escalate this for you and help get it resolved.

Take it to Ford and make sure it's ok (most dealers wont know anyway since the MT 82 is still considered a quality transmission---what a joke). Then get a Steeda cai and steeda tune and you won't believe the beast your car becomes.
