Road Dirt

Does anyone have the problem of keeping the back end of their Mustang
clean? I recently bought a 2014 Mustang and live out in the country.
It seems if there is any very small leaves or grass clippings, etc, along the road, they all (along with road grime) end up on the back of the car both
in the tail light sockets and all over the black area that the round badge
is mounted. I know all cars have some problem with that area due to the
low "air pressure" in that area while at speed.
I can keep the car clean everywhere else, but that area is just impossible.

Tom

Everything is gloss black in that area so it's going to show dirt easily. Just be glad you don't have a black car (though DIB can be tough to keep clean too).

My car never gets off pavement, so dirt roads are not a problem. My primary problem is freakin' brake dust. Those little black specks are indeed a PITA and can't just be wiped or dusted off. If I do (dry) clean it, over time, I'll be finding surface scratches like I did on the Performance White '07 GT.

I also notice the gloss black trunk lid panel is nearly impossible to keep clean and smudge-free. I'll soon be painting mine Race Red to match the car. I'll also install painted tailight trim of the same color. I prefer red over gloss black anyway.
