Paint Flaws

I took delivery of my new 2014 mustang gt premium 5 days ago. I went to detail it last night and I found some flaws in the paint on the running board. is this something that I can go to the dealer about? I checked the car upon delivery but it is hard to see on the gotta have it green paint job. any info appreciated. thanks

Yes....get it back to the dealer as soon as possible. It may depend on how they feel on that day as normally any paint flaws are annotated at the purchase of the car. I had some documented and later repaired a few days after I had the car so it is possible.

Mine had a very minor paint chip on the hood above the right headlight. The dealer insisted it be fixed and wanted to paint the entire hood. I finally told them if they did any paint work on the car I would refuse delivery. Most likely no one will ever notice the paint flaw you mentioned, but chances are everyone will notice the repaint. Have it noted at the dealer and leave well enough alone. My 2 cents.

I also recommend you bring it in to your dealer as soon as possible, “XLR8IN”. Also, PM me with your VIN, dealer, full name, mileage, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service manager for your area.
