Heater Not Working on Floor

Noticed the other day when I put the heat on and selected the floor option it was shooting out the defrost. By the sounds of things the blend door isn't opening/closing as it should. Anyone else have this issue?

Hello 93-331-29psi,

My name is Deysha with Ford Customer Service. I'd like to make sure your pony is working properly. Please make an appointment with your Ford dealer to have it diagnosed. Then private message me with your mileage, contact info, VIN, and dealer so I can escalate this to the Customer Service Manager in your area.

Thanks for your response, I am going to drop the car off this Friday and have it looked at. I'm not seeing any reason to escalate the issue as of yet and I would like to give my dealership the opportunity to correct the issue. Should I run into an issue I'll definitely let you know.

My car does the exact same thing. do you have the climate control setup or just the standard controls (climate control here) How did you make out? did they tell you what the problem was?

I've got the standard controls, and I haven't had it in yet, because it works when it wants to. By the sounds of things when it's not working it's the blend door not fully opening/closing as it should. Hopefully will get it in this week sometime because heater weather is rapidly approaching. I'll keep you posted.

My 2012 V6 does the same thing. I have to shut everything off, and then start air back up.

There are also times that I'll shut my air off, and about 15 seconds later the defroster will come on full blast, and then shut off, then the read outs show the duel zone controls, and shows the fan speed going up over and over again. It's weird, but it hasn't completely bugged me...but I'm in the car business, and have an amazing relationship with my local ford store, so I'll probably just swing by and have them look at it!

Hi youngstang90,

Welcome to the forum! My name is Deysha from Ford Customer Service. I definitely agree with you taking to your Ford dealer for diagnosis. I’d also like to escalate this for you. PM me with your dealer, mileage, VIN, and contact info so I can help.

Hey Deysha!
I have to say that I'm very impressed with how much you stay on top of everyone's issues.

But I'll wait until I take it in and see what they have to say. I know everyone at my dealership, so they take care of me pretty good.
