I love my 2011 5.0 but I have a lot of rust on the inside of my trunk lid. I took it to the dealer last year and they took pictures. After months of waiting for a response they denied it. I'm sure it probably was there when it was only 2 years old and I never noticed. I wish ford would work with me on this issue.

 

I had 6 places on my trunk where the paint had cracked in spots. The Ford service rep helped me and I had the trunk repainted with no issues.

Just give up. I'm going through the same issue on my 2013 - The dealership refuses to paint it "because it will just happen again"

Mine is caused from the weather stripping rubbing the paint off the lid
