AC not blowing cold at idle
I have a 2010 Mustang GT convertible with 30k miles. I have a AC issue I can not nail down. I took into the shop and they are saying the system is blowing at 52 degrees which is spec and no leaks. However, when it gets above 90 degrees outside the AC is not blowing cold air at idle sitting in traffic and when you are pressing the gas (like passing). I checked and made sure the fans are kicking on and nothing is blocking the radiator and condenser.
Anyone else had this issue? What else can it be? Do I need to take it back in to the dealer? I know the car is triple black and I am using a sun visor and cracking the windows.

I don't know if the Mustang does this or not, but some cars disengage the compressor at wide open throttle. If so, that would explain your second issue. Not sure what to tell you on the idle issue.

I figured as much but I sit in traffic a lot and the AC is not keeping up with the heat down here.

Is this a problem that just cropped up, or has it always been this way? Also, where within the spec is 52 degrees? If it is on the border of being out of spec and the problem is new, I'd wonder if the compressor is on the way out.

This is the first summer with this car so I am not sure if this is normal. It seems to be fine anything under 90 degree weather. I know I got a black car with black interior but this is ridiculous.

I took it by the dealer and they did a evac and recharge with a leak test. There were no leaks found. They did notice the PCM was out of date and there was a upgrade that addresses the AC issue. They did a upgrade of the software and now the car's AC is blowing cold as ice.

My a/c is not working right now, I have scheduled to go to the dealer this weekend for the software update which is a part of recall.
Please let me know about software.
Thanks,

I am not 100% sure sine they did evac and recharged the system before the update. However, they said there was not a leak and the software upgrade was the issue. Something about the fans not spinning at the right speed. My issue worked before just now well.
