2014 v6 pcu problems

My lady ripped the power wire to my Amp out of the vehicle. She says "she unhooked it first from the battery. All the sudden pcu is fryed... fast forward about two weeks and $1,900 later we get the Mustang back. It runs and drives only the mechanic didn't hook up the air conditioning which is ran through the Pioneer stereo head that I have. Does anybody have any idea what's going on with my vehicle

The A/C operates via a Pioneer head unit?

Based upon your description, it would appear your Mustang has been seriously messed with, perhaps by a previous owner. Usually the wiring is pretty well tucked away. For your lady to rip out something would normally be quite difficult to access and accomplish.

Is the car modified in other ways?

I went and looked, around at how the 2014s climate controls are done, just to be sure they're 'mechanical' switch gear normally... and found this thing:

That's... well, that's kinda amazing. The entire center section is replaced with a 'Telsa-like' infotainment system, and you can see the climate controls at the bottom. If something like that was done, well, yeah. Waaaay messed with.

Anyway. Just found that fascinating for sure.

OP, you're gonna have to either chase all the wiring down and fix it yourself, or you're gonna have to pay someone. Get yourself a shop manual with the wiring diagram for that specific year and get to testing. Of course, not being stock at this point is going to make it a little more difficult in some ways, but *if* the main harness hasn't been botched up and mangled, and person(s) before had used proper converter harnesses with appropriate converting connectors (because why you'd hack a perfectly good stock wiring harness is beyond me... (says the guy who was forced to cut his to swap the 'upgrade/supersession' blower motor pigtail because Ford decided...)) then the end points should be ok to get figured out and ensure they're right.

It may just be the panel. Or it may be... elsewhere.

Good luck, and welcome to the forums!
