Well, Let Me Stew a Bit More as That Idea Came Out of The Blue on the Switches While I Was feeding The Nicotine Habit on The Porch! We Will Figure it Out!

I really appreciate the efforts.
I just can't see the clock spring being the problem, usually when they go it'll be intermittent or change when steering the wheel. Everything but the audio buttons work.

Since You Been Playing With it Have You Tried a Hard Reset of Everything By Disconnecting The Battery?? If Not it is Worth a Shot. Heck Let it Sit Overnight & Give it a Shot.

I had the transmission out of it for a few weeks so the battery was disconnected for quite a while. I pulled the passenger side seat belt pretensioner out to have it looked at and the battery was disconnected for a bit just the other day.

Since You Don't Know The History of The Car and The Buttons Have Never Worked For you it is Possible The Programming to the ACM Got Corrupted at One Point. I Did it Myself on My Shelby When I Was Fooling Around With a Stuck CD. After Finally Giving up and Getting a New Oem Head Unit The New Radio Worked Fine Except For The Lighting Would Not Work at Night. I Had to Have a Ford Tech Buddy Come over and Reload the AS-BUILT Data into Acm To Fix. That is Where Ford Dealers Go Online To get any Programming DATA Needed To Restore Function to Something Module Related.

My Dinosaur Does Not Have Steering Wheel Controls, But Just to Illustrate a Point! But I Will Tell You The Newer The Car The Crazier The Side Effects Sometimes You Will Get With a Completely Unrelated Repair Cause a Side Effect Somewhere Else.

I will Dig Some more After I get a Reboot!

Have a Good Evening!

Shouldn't I be able to reload the "as built" load from Forscan? Seems I ran across it today when i double checked the live data. I'm pretty sure I can just reload the ACM to "as built".

It Was a Learning Process. We Both Learned Something and Now Your Thread and Commitment To Solving an Issue Here on TMS May Very Well Help Someone Down The Road as Well. It's a Good Feeling To Help Another Mustanger & Helps Keep me Thinking I Can Be Useful Here From Time To Time. Also The Value of Someone who Comes in Here Seeks some Help and Then Follows Though After it's Fixed.

So in a Nutshell You Were Able To Reinstall AS-BUILT Programing To ACM using Forscan.

You Are Quite Welcome & Thank You For Your Service as a Fire Fighter as Well!

We are Honored To Have You Aboard!

Best Regards,

KC

Reload

Yes, reloaded AS BUILT to factory and everything immediately worked. Just goes to show that if you mismatch parts, even though they fit and work, you don't always get full functionality.
Now it's documented for ever, hopefully it helps someone else.

I'm wondering if my sport shifter switch is having the same issue, and I was able to turn off my TPMS light too until I get new tires.

I did have to get a two month extended license to upload to the module. Hopefully they solve the issue with the payment for the paid license, I think you can only reup for the two month license so many times.
Thank again for all the help everyone.
Glad I'm part of this community, I've owned a bunch of these cars and wouldn't have it any other way.
Alan
