2011 mustang engine fail
I am currently the owner of a 2012 mustang gt with 7400 miles and have unfortunately had the #8 cylinder failure. My dealer ship said they will not cover it, I have read many of you talking about Deysha, I am trying to find out how to contact her, please help. Thanks to all.

You can send a PM to "FordCustomerService". They will need your VIN and dealership info.
Do you have a 2011 or a 2012?! Also- did you have a tune installed? If so, from what vendor and what device? You'll need to contact them as well.
Good Luck.

It's a 2011 i must have accidentally mis typed, yes I did have a bama tune and aftermarket exhaust, I'm not very good with computers so sorry for sounding helpless but where excactly do I go to send the message to ford??
Have you called Bama? They seem pretty good about resolving problems, hope it all works out.
Are you the original owner or did you buy it used? Did you load tune or was it already in the car - if you bought it used.

I bought the car used at a ford dealership with 2200 miles on it, I then put a body kit, a functional ram air hood, side scoops like the cs cars have, after market exhaust, a tune, and drag radials, and had the whole car re cleared at the body shop, it looks great to bad I can't drive it.
Yes. I have contacted bama, I told them I was goin to try one last attempt through ford wich was deysha, and if she could not help they told me to call back and we could start doing certain steps they need to follow to try and get it handled

When Ford came out with the 5.0, they made the PCM be able to keep traces to show the dealership whether the car's ever been tuned or not, and if any aftermarket tuning is found, the repair would not be covered.
Ford even came out with e Technical Service Bulletin for the dealers to show them where in the PCM to look, to see whether the car's been tuned or not.
Sorry to hear of your troubles, but it sounds like you really need to get Bama to help with this.
Other than that, it's "wallet warranty" ...

That right there is why it's not covered under Ford's warranty.

Welcome to the forum. As Gabe mentioned, this aftermarket tune may have caused this engine failure on your vehicle. We do have a TSB out for this issue, which tells me this is why your dealer advised you of the warranty denial. You can PM me with your VIN, dealer, full name, and best daytime number so I can review your case. However, I recommend you contact Bama about this.

I appreciate the help.

ford has to prove that the tune did the damage and I doubt they can. Bama is going to step in and prove it was not their tune that did the damage, and I bet ford replaces his engine. It's only got 7700 miles on it. This is clearly not normal under any circumstance.
Ford's certainly not looking for a charity case to spend $6k+ to replace an engine under warranty.
Sorry to the OP, but bringing a car in for warranty work with a tune installed, drag radials on the back, and many other obvious modifications, only meant one outcome was coming ... "wallet warranty"

It wont go that far. Remember your dealing with two companies Bama and Ford who will blame each other. So therefore one will be willing to testify on your behalf if it came down to it. Bama has good customer service and Ford is pretty decent as well. They realize that if someone bought one of their vehicles they probably will buy another if they have a good experience. So Ford looks at it as a 6k warranty repair and a happy customer who will keep buying vs a angry customer who will never come back. Same with Bama. Everything will be fine.
7400 miles, and "tuning" a car means advancing timing and changing other parameters, all which will make Ford say that the changes made the engine work outside of its intended design or something like that, and even if it was for a short time, they can wash their hands off it.

I am aware that the timing is different, but for an engine to fail after 5k miles of tuning tells me that the timing wasn't the issue, unless the tune was really bad. Bama uses the same timing on hundreds of cars without an issue I'm sure, which tells me that its not a tune related issue. The tune might have accelerated the failure, but its not the root cause. Ford knows this, and it really depends on how good of a customer he is. Ford isn't in the business of losing loyal customers. It's the jerks that strip the tunes and go in and try to lie to get an engine replaced who have issues with warranty coverage.
