2010-2014 Ford Mustang S-197 Gen 2 The Wiper Issues

I have a 2010 base Mustang Convertible and having the normal issues with wipers. At first they never shut off so I pulled the assembly and motor and found water in the connector. Blew it all out and let it sit in the sun for a day. Reassemble and they seemed ok, for about a day. I have fast speed and normal speed but it seems it's the intermittents that are throwing things off. Now it's back to on all the time but sometimes it will just randomly stop anywhere on the windshield and restart. Someone says motor but if the motor is actuating the blades, how can it be a motor? Does this sound more like a multifunction switch arm or a relay? Going to see if the is another relay to swap and see if it helps. Motors are expensive and I am just trying to avoid guessing at parts and wasting time. Also noted that the washer pump is continually turning off and on like I am pushing the wash button. Tanks empty but I still hear it.Thanks!

UPDATED TITLE & MOVED TO SERVICE ISSUES FOR BETTER SEARCHABLITY!
Thank You For Coming in For Help!

Don't mean to disrupt the topic but what you mentioned the wires and reminded me of a theory I heard a while ago. They (especially Ford, kinda started it) trying to make more environmentaly friendly stuff, using soybean based oils for seat foam, plastics and other things like wire coverings. Theory being that rodents are attracted to it because of the food based oils they're using for plastic type stuff. Dunno if true, but sounds plausible.

Sorry to the OP, didn't mean to detract from your problem. Hope you get it sorted.

I just wanted to follow up, i refused to believe it was the motor after removing it, drying it all out and it still not working but I went ahead, bit the bullet and bought a new motor. This fixed all my issues associated with the wipers constantly running and constantly draining the washer fluid.
