What do the wires go to in the mirror?
yikes, $700 for the mirror?! even with the connector and harness, that is expensive.
search around this forum, you will see plenty of people that did the conversion (myself included). it is not for the faint of heart.
the OEM mirrors are the same as the F150 mirrors and you can find hem on fleabay for $300 or less. you also have to get a different connector to make it work). do your research and decide if you rather do this or an aftermarket nav system with rear backup.

And there's already the "reverse" wire there, even if you don't have the camera, because mirror auto-dimming is switched off when in reverse.
Actually, in the Premium there are no wires in the main connector for auto-dimming per se, since the sensor is built in to the mirror. For 2013 at least.
