Stock Shaker Pro door components aren't that bad (on an aftermarket deck)

Installed my Polk DB571's in my vert tonight, front and rear.

I can say that the rears were a major upgrade sound wise, they added a lot to the mix that was positive, but the fronts? I'm not sold on it.

When I compared the stock right front to the already changed out left front, there didn't really seem to be much of a difference, to be honest, other than the fact that the new speakers had a slightly better tweeter than the stock components, but I don't feel that the upgrade was worth it. If people weren't aware, in 2013 Ford did upgrade the factory premium radios, including speakers.

Keep in mind, I'm not on a stock deck anymore, so that might be part of it. I will say that my Kenwood DNX-891HD made a huge difference to how the stock shaker pro sounded, and it was all positive. I honestly want to say I'm underwhelmed by the speaker change up front though. It's better, but not night and day. I may drop more coinage on components for up front instead of hte 5x7's. maybe that'll make some difference.

I can also tell now that it's better EQ'd and controlled, that I'm going to want more amp for the trunk sub/more power. It just can't keep up with louder volumes, the sub just fades into the abyss. When it's not loud it's fantastic though. I have a feeling once my money tree is replenished and all important things are handled, I might upgrade the sub/amp in the trunk

Are you running the aftermarket speakers on the stock amps? I'm in the process of installing an aftermarket amp and sound processor with front and rear speakers. I plan on leaving the door subs and rear sub on the stock amps for now, but was wondering if the amped door and rear speakers will overpower the rear sub.

stock amps, aftermarket speakers, stock door subs and trunk sub.

i have a 500x1 2ohm monoblock amp from my last car that is still in great shape, and I'm going to pick up a sub/custom fit box and pull the stock shaker pro sub/box and install it. Last stage of the build will be to install another amp and feed the door speakers and door subs (will replace door subs at that point)

I thought I was the only one who felt this way about aftermarket front speakers! I replaced the '13 Shaker 500 front speakers with 2013 Pioneer TS-G series speakers running off an X920BT and it's kind of underwhelming at high volume (over 25 out of 40). I have the EQ tuned all the way down, and everything zeroed out or off (no Loudness, no sound stage set, etc). I'm considering adding an Alpine KTP 445U power pack to see if it cleans up the sound a bit as I don't really want to invest in another pair of speakers.
