Steering Wheel Swap Question

I have a 2012 Mustang with the base audio system. I have a boatload of audio goodies I will be installing, including an aftermarket head unit and the PAC interface (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127C2RF...e.html?tp=3486). If I swap my steering wheel for a Premium/Boss/GT500 wheel, what do I need to do in order to use the steering wheel controls?

I'm not familiar with the Ford IDS system, so not sure if the dealership can reset the wheel to work with my setup if I'm not using a factory Shaker/Boss head unit.

i believe you will need a PCM update from the dealer.

Ok thanks for the reply. So should I install the wheel, get the PCM update, and then install the system, or do it the other way around?
